Cinewax is a non-profit charity (loi 1901).The association is registered at the RCS (Trade and Companies Registry) of Créteil (France) with serial number SIREN n° 809 742 885, and RNA W942005318.

The Online African Film Festival is an online film streaming platform and online festival dedicated to African and diaspora films.

Am I concerned with any data processing of my data ?

If you gave personal data when creating a Cinewax account on the Platform or when paying for one of the subscriptions offered by Cinewax, you are concerned with the processing listed in this section and shall have all the rights attached.

 

What data do we collect?

Cinewax collects the data that you provided during your account creation on the Cinewax Platform: surname, forename, date of birth, username, e-mail address, IP address, and phone number. The data relating to your means of payment are processed by our secure payment partner.

 

What do we do with the collected data?

Your data are used for the creation of your account, for territorial identification in order to ensure a legal distribution of the content, to improve communication as well as the improvement of our service, for statistical, promotional, transaction and payment purposes and also to improve the User experience.

Where you data are stored?

These data are stored in our servers and those of our partners, within the European Economic Area. Any transfer of data outside this territory will be carried out in accordance with the decision n°2010/87/EU of the European Commission and standard contractual clauses for data transfers, which ensure a level of protection at least equivalent to that granted by the GDPR.

 

How long these data are stored?

The Users’ data of the Cinewax service are kept until the removal/ deletion of their Cinewax account and for a maximum period of five (5) years from the act of removal.

 

Can I disagree with those processing?

Cinewax is extremely committed to upheld everyone’s right to respect for private life. To this extent, Cinewax offers you the possibility to contest the processing of all or part of these data, nay opposing any storage thereof. You can find how to use this right down bellow this page.

 

How to access my data and control how they are used?

You can access the wholeness of your data used by Cinewax or request the rectification, deletion or portability of part or all of them. You can also control which processing you want to authorise or prohibit and oppose any automatic processing of your data other than those necessary for the proper performance of Cinewax’s contractual obligations. What are my recourse in case of disagreement?

If you are dissatisfied with the answers provided by Cinewax regarding the use of your date, you can contact the French National Commission on Informatics and Liberty – Commission Nationale l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 Place de Fontenoy – 75007 Paris, France or any competent court.
